Oracle gains EU green light for $28.3 bln Cerner deal

U.S. enterprise software program maker Oracle Corp has secured unconditional EU antitrust clearance for its $28.3 billion acquisition of U.S. healthcare IT firm Cerner Corp, the EU competitors enforcer mentioned on Thursday.

The acquisition, Oracle’s greatest ever, would give the corporate entry to a trove of knowledge and will enhance the variety of healthcare shoppers to its cloud platform.

The European Commission mentioned it didn’t have any competitors considerations concerning the deal as there aren’t any overlaps between the businesses and the merged firm wouldn’t have the flexibility to close out rivals.
