Plea Filed In Delhi High Court Against High COVID Treatment Prices By Private Hospitals

The petition stated contemplating the rise in Covid-19 circumstances, the state authorities has declared varied hospitals as Covid-19 hospitals and by its June three order, the authorities declared three personal hospitals – Mool Chand Khairati Lal Hospital, Saroj Super Specialty Hospital and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital – as Covid Hospitals.

These hospitals are mandated to offer 10 per cent IPD and 25 per cent OPD companies to sufferers belonging to financial weaker part (EWS), it stated.

The plea, which has made Delhi authorities and Director General of Health Services as events, stated it has not impleaded Covid-19 hospitals as get together to the petition because the instructions sought are in opposition to the federal government to make sure justice with its residents through the disaster of pandemic.

“The respondents (Delhi government) are duty bound to ensure that the private hospitals do not overcharge public particularly when the government hospitals do not have sufficient infrastructure to accommodate all patients suffering from Covid-19.
