PM Modi Calls Yogi Adityanath Over Stampede-Like Situation At Maha Kumbh

New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the state of affairs on the Maha Kumbh in a name with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath following a stampede-like incident and referred to as for speedy help measures.

PM Modi is repeatedly monitoring the state of affairs and has spoken to Yogi Adityanath twice up to now, official sources stated.

“PM Modi spoke to Yogi Ji concerning the state of affairs on the Kumbh Mela, reviewed the developments, and referred to as for speedy help measures,” an official stated.

A number of casualties had been feared after a stampede-like state of affairs broke out at Sangam within the early hours of Wednesday amid the continued Maha Kumbh, as hundreds of thousands of pilgrims turned up for a holy tub on Mauni Amavasya, officers stated.

In view of the incident, the Akharas referred to as off their conventional ‘Amrit Snan’ for Mauni Amavasya, whilst devotees in giant numbers continued to take a dip at Sangam and different ghats within the Mela space.
