Punjab: Cross-border weapon smuggling module busted, two held

Punjab Police on Thursday (June 5, 2025) unearthed a cross-border weapon smuggling module with the arrest of two individuals.

Six subtle weapons, together with Glock pistols, have additionally been recovered from them.

The accused have been recognized as Surajpal Singh and Arshdeep Singh, residents of Tarn Taran, Director Common of Police Gaurav Yadav mentioned.

“Performing on a selected tip-off, @TarnTaranPolice busts a cross-border weapon smuggling module with hyperlinks to #Pakistan and arrests, Surajpal Singh & Arshdeep Singh from Village Lakhna, and recovers six subtle weapons,” Mr. Yadav mentioned in a publish on X.

“Restoration: Two subtle PX5 .30 pistols and 4 9MM Glock pistols with stay cartridges,” he additional mentioned.

A case has been registered, the DGP mentioned, including additional investigation is underway to determine all from side to side linkages.
