US President Joe Biden stated Tuesday Russian President Vladimir Putin had underestimated the highly effective response his invasion of Ukraine would illicit from Western nations as sanctions upended Russia’s economic system.
“Putin’s struggle was premeditated and unprovoked,” Biden stated in ready remarks launched forward of his annual State of the Union tackle.
“He rejected efforts at diplomacy. He thought the West and NATO would not reply. And, he thought he may divide us right here at dwelling. Putin was flawed. We have been prepared.”
