Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused the US of fueling tensions within the Arctic, citing former President Donald Trump’s renewed curiosity in taking management of Greenland. Talking on the Worldwide Arctic Discussion board, Putin claimed the US has “critical plans” for the area, referencing its so-called historic ties. Trump had even urged utilizing power if obligatory. Denmark firmly rejected the concept. In response, Putin introduced plans to develop Russia’s navy presence within the Arctic, together with deploying extra icebreakers, increasing ports, and stationing extra troops.
