The Ministry of Railways has determined to disband 5 Railway Engineers Territorial Military Regiments situated at Jhansi, Kota, Adra, Chandigarh and Secunderabad, an official assertion stated Monday.
Nonetheless, Railway Engineer Regiment (Territorial Military) situated at Jamalpur can be retained for operational position alongside the route New Jalpaiguri-Siliguri-Newmal-Alipurduar-Rangiya, it stated.
