Rains LIVE: Heavy rains cause floods in Dehradun’s Sahastradhara; two missing


Landslide, heavy rains severely harm Jammu and Kashmir’s Kotranka-Khawas street in Rajouri

The not too long ago constructed Kotranka-Khawas street, spanning 32 km in Rajouri district, has suffered extreme harm on account of persistent heavy rainfall and landslides within the area for the previous two weeks.

The street, accomplished within the 2023-24 interval, serves as a significant connection between Kotranka sub-division and Khawas tehsil. 

Nevertheless, for the previous 15 days, the route has remained fully disconnected, creating widespread misery amongst native residents. The disruption has considerably affected each day life. College students are unable to go to highschool, and transporting the sick to medical amenities has turn out to be extraordinarily tough, in line with locals. Many villagers are being pressured to stroll 15 to twenty km on foot to entry important companies.
