Mr Tata is without doubt one of the most beloved and revered industrialists in India.
Ratan N. Tata, Chairman of Tata Sons, the holding firm of the Tata Group from 1991 till his retirement on December 28, 2012, turned 83 on Monday. Mr Tata was born in 1937 in Bombay, now Mumbai.
From December 29, 2012, Mr Tata has made the honorary title of Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, Tata Industries, Tata Motors, Tata Chemical substances and Tata Metal.
Mr Tata was the chairman of the most important Tata firms, together with Tata Motors, Tata Metal, Tata Consultancy Providers, Tata Energy, Tata International Drinks, Tata Chemical substances, Indian Accommodations and Tata Teleservices and through his tenure, the group’s revenues grew by leaps and bounds, totalling over $ 100 billion in 2011-12.
He’s the chairman of the Tata Trusts which might be amongst India’s oldest, non-sectarian philanthropic organisations that work in a number of areas of neighborhood growth. He’s the Chairman of the Council of Administration of the Tata Institute of Basic Analysis and in addition serves on the board of trustees of Cornell College and the College of Southern California.

In line with him, Ratan Tata embodies humility, a golden coronary heart, is understood for doing social good, has company ethics, impeccable manners and is an efficient human being.
