A Russian court on Monday banned Facebook and Instagram within the nation after discovering Meta Platforms Inc “extremist”, TASS information company reported.
Russia has already banned Fb for limiting entry to Russian media whereas Instagram was blocked after Meta mentioned it could permit social media customers in Ukraine to publish messages urging violence in opposition to Russian President Vladimir Putin and troops Moscow despatched into Ukraine on Feb. 24.
Meta didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
