Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday met the Indian neighborhood members in Prague and shared with them developments at house and the state of the bilateral relationship.
Mr Jaishankar is in Prague on the final leg of his two-nation tour to Slovakia and the Czech Republic to impart additional momentum in ties with the 2 central European nations.
“Delighted to satisfy the Indian neighborhood in Prague. Good to see lots of them doing so properly. The growth of the neighborhood has additionally been encouraging. Shared with them developments at house and the state of our bilateral relationship. Rely on their persevering with help,” Mr Jaishankar tweeted.
The exterior affairs minister arrived in Prague on Saturday from the Slovakian capital Bratislava. On Sunday, he met the Czech Finance Minister. The Czech Republic will take over EU Presidency from July 1.
Practically, 5,000 Indian nationals- principally IT professionals, enterprise personnel and college students are residing in Czech Republic. There are a number of casual associations of Indians/individuals of Indian origin, who organise neighborhood occasions in affiliation with the Embassy, in line with the official figures.
His go to comes at a time when Europe is grappling with the implications of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and chronic efforts by the European nations to persuade India to take a harder place on Moscow for its actions.
The Ministry of Exterior Affairs had stated in a press release forward of his departure that Mr Jaishankar’s discussions along with his Czech counterpart will present a chance for a “complete evaluate of our bilateral cooperation.”
