The Uttar Pradesh energy division has fined a former district president of the Samajwadi Social gathering Rs 54 lakh in reference to an electrical energy theft case, an official stated on Friday.
The case in opposition to Firoz Khan was registered on October 20 in Sambhal, Govt Engineer Naveen Gautam of the ability division stated.
“Throughout an inspection on October 20 in Pakka Bagh, Hayatnagar, electrical energy theft was detected at Firoz Khan’s non-public workplace,” he stated.
Consequently, an FIR was filed in opposition to Firoz Khan beneath Part 135 of the Electrical energy Act, 2003, on the Anti-Energy Theft Police Station, he stated.
“The investigation revealed there had been no metre put in since 2012, and there was no legitimate electrical energy connection. After approval of the inspection report, a penalty of Rs 54 lakh has been imposed,” Gautam stated.
Firoz Khan has been despatched a discover to current his case inside 15 days.
