Senior Madhya Pradesh police officer Purushottam Sharma, who was caught on video assaulting his spouse, has been suspended. A Director Normal-rank officer, Sharma had justified his actions, calling it a “household dispute” and insisting that it was “not against the law”.
Within the widely-shared video, Sharma – a 1986 batch IPS officer – is seen arguing together with his spouse. In seconds, he holds her, pins her to the ground and thrashes her.
Two different males might be seen within the room, with considered one of them coming close to the couple. A pet canine is seen barking and strolling across the room because the spouse is being assaulted.
