Maharashtra SP MLA Abu Azmi’s son Abu Farhan Azmi, who was booked in Goa over a battle, on Wednesday known as the incident a small factor that turned “actually wild”, asserting he was not in opposition to the coastal state.

Azmi had allegedly received right into a tiff with a biker in Goa on Monday evening.

Azmi stated what occurred in Goa has saddened him.
“However I’ve 1000’s of Goan associates who’ve come out in assist of me,” he stated.
He lauded the Goa police for being “very cooperative” and stated he too was cooperating with them. “However don’t malign my identify saying that I’m in opposition to Goans,” Azmi stated.
In a conciliatory gesture, he added, “Let’s finish this right here. I can apologise however I used to be not mistaken. I’m very pleased with the Goa police. I really like Goa.”
The event comes at a time when his father and Samajwadi Occasion legislator Abu Azmi has been going through an FIR in Maharashtra and criticism from the ruling alliance members there over his feedback eulogising Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.
On Wednesday, the lawmaker was suspended from the Maharashtra legislative meeting until the continued funds session ends on March 26, over the remarks.
