Cell phone exports surpassed Rs 2 lakh crore within the 2024-25 monetary 12 months with iPhone shipments alone contributing about Rs 1.5 lakh crore, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw mentioned on Tuesday.
The minister mentioned that smartphone exports have seen a 54 per cent progress over the 2023-24 fiscal.
“Smartphone exports crossed Rs 2 lakh crore within the monetary 12 months 2024-25. It’s now among the many prime exported items out of India. About Rs 1.5 lakh crore value of iPhones had been exported,” Mr Vaishnaw mentioned.
He mentioned that electronics manufacturing within the nation has elevated greater than 5 instances and exports by greater than six instances within the final 10 years.
The minister additionally introduced that the federal government is issuing a draft notification for a passive element scheme, which will probably be open for session for about two weeks.
