Round 170 bighas (over 56 acres) of poppy farming value greater than Rs 27 crore have been destroyed in Goalpara district of Assam in January, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated on Sunday.
“Pricey Native Pablo Escobars, Sorry to spoil your deliberate Udta Assam celebration! As a result of @Goalpara_Police destroyed 170 Bighas of poppy cultivation within the Char areas value Rs 27.20 crore in January,” Mr Sarma stated in a publish on X.

He additionally uploaded a video, displaying a tractor smashing the purported poppy plantation amid the presence of an enormous posse of policemen.
