A mass taking pictures at a crowded bar on an idyllic South Carolina island left a minimum of 4 folks lifeless and one other 20 injured, officers mentioned.
The taking pictures occurred early Sunday at Willie’s Bar and Grill on St. Helena Island. A big crowd was on the scene when sheriff’s deputies arrived and located a number of folks affected by gunshot wounds.
“It was discovered that a whole lot of individuals have been on the location when the taking pictures occurred,” the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned in a press release. “A number of victims and witnesses ran to the close by companies and properties searching for shelter from the gunshots.
4 folks have been discovered lifeless on the scene, and a minimum of 20 folks have been injured. Among the many injured, 4 have been in important situation and brought to space hospitals for remedy.
The victims’ identities weren’t launched.
“It is a tragic and tough incident for everybody. We ask to your persistence as we proceed to analyze this incident. Our ideas are with the entire victims and their family members,” the assertion mentioned.
The taking pictures is beneath investigation.
“COMPLETELY HEARTBROKEN to study concerning the devastating taking pictures in Beaufort County,” U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace posted on X. “Our prayers are with the victims, their households, and everybody impacted by this horrific act of violence.”
