Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, the previous police chief of Maharashtra, has been appointed because the chief of the Central Bureau of Investigation for a two-year interval.
The federal government notification got here this eveing after a sequence of conferences between Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Justice and opposition chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury
Mr Jaiswal is a 1985-batch IPS officer of Maharashtra cadre. He’s at present serving because the chief of the Central Industrial Safety Forces.
