Tamil Nadu Agriculture Minister R Doraikkannu, who had examined optimistic for coronavirus, died final night time at a non-public hospital in Chennai. He was 72.

His CT scan had confirmed 90 per cent lung involvement vis-a-vis the an infection and he was placed on ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) and ventilator.

In August, former president Pranab Mukherjee died, weeks after testing optimistic. Junior Railways Minister Suresh Angadi, Covid optimistic, had died in September. Vinod Kumar Singh, a Bihar minister, died at a hospital in Delhi in October.
