Padma Shri awardee ‘Vanajeevi’ Ramaiah died in Khammam district of Telangana on Saturday, household sources stated.
He suffered a coronary heart assault at his home in Reddipalli village, they stated.
He was 87.
Daripalli Ramaiah, popularly often called the inexperienced crusader, “Chettu (tree) Ramaiah” or “Vanajeevi” in Khammam district, for planting a couple of crore saplings during the last a number of many years, was recipient of Padma Shri Award for 2017.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy condoled the dying of Mr Ramaiah and stated his demise is an “irreparable loss” to the society.
The Chief Minister additional stated Daripalli Ramaiah, strongly believed that survival of mankind is inconceivable with out nature and atmosphere, a launch from CMO stated.
“Ramaiah launched plantation as a person and influenced the whole society,” Revanth Reddy stated including the Padma Shri awardee impressed the youth by dedicating total life to environmental safety.
The Chief Minister conveyed deep sympathies to the bereaved members of the family.
Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Dwelling Bandi Sanjay Kumar, BRS president Ok Chandrasekhar Rao and a number of other different leaders condoled the demise of Mr Ramaiah.
In his message, Kishan Reddy stated Mr Ramaiah planted over one crore saplings throughout his lifetime and was on the forefront of defending and furthering nature and the atmosphere.
Paying homage to the departed soul, Sanjay Kumar stated the demise of the inexperienced crusader, who was awarded Padma Shri, is a loss to Telangana and the reason for nature.
KCR stated Mr Ramaiah’s life stands as a task mannequin for future generations in conserving the atmosphere.
