Three drown in sea in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra; four missing

Three vacationers drowned in sea off Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra on Friday (October 3, 2025) night. 4 are lacking. The victims hail from two households.

The group from the Kittur household comprised Irfan Mohammad Isaq Kittur, 36; Iqwan Imran Kittur, 15; Fareen Irfan Kittur, 34; Ibad Irfan Kittur, 13; Namira Aftab Akhtar, 16; and Isra Imran Kittur. The Maniar members of the family had been Farhan Mohammad Maniar, 25; and Zakir Nisar Maniar, 13.

Isra Imran Kittur was rescued. She is being handled on the Shiroda sub-district hospital.

The police stated the search operation will resume on Saturday morning.
