A Russian international ministry spokeswoman mentioned Friday Western sanctions towards the nation’s president and high diplomat over its invasion of Ukraine confirmed Western “impotency” and warned relations have been nearing a “level of no return.”
In a bristling speech on Russian tv, international ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova mentioned the choice by the US and European nations to slap sanctions on President Vladimir Putin and International Minister Sergei Lavrov have been “an illustration of the whole impotency of the international coverage” of the West.
She additionally warned that Russia’s relations with the West have been nearing a harmful level.
“It wasn’t our alternative. We wished dialogue, however the Anglo-Saxons closed these choices one after the other and we started performing in another way,” Zakharova mentioned on a tv present on Russia’s Channel One shortly earlier than midnight.
