Twitter says it mistakenly took down accounts posting on Russian military


Twitter stated on Wednesday it had mistakenly suspended round a dozen accounts that had been posting about Russian army actions, and stated the motion was not as a result of a coordinated bot marketing campaign or mass reporting of the accounts by different customers.

“We have been proactively monitoring for rising narratives which can be violative of our insurance policies, and, on this occasion, we took enforcement motion on numerous accounts in error,” a Twitter spokesperson stated in a press release. “We’re expeditiously reviewing these actions and have already proactively reinstated entry to numerous affected accounts.”

The Twitter spokesperson stated the faulty motion had been based mostly on its guidelines towards artificial and manipulated media.
