Kyiv:

A barrage of Russian missiles destroyed a civilian airport in Vinnytsia in central Ukraine on Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned.

“I’ve simply been knowledgeable a few missile strike on Vinnytsia. Eight rockets… The airport was fully destroyed,” he mentioned.

However Vinnytsia is within the western space of central Ukraine, removed from the Russia and Belarus borders, in an space that has seen fewer such strikes.

Zelensky took the chance to resume his demand that Western powers implement a no-fly zone over Ukraine to stop extra Russian assaults.

“We repeat each day: shut the sky over Ukraine. Shut for all Russian missiles, for Russian fight plane, for all their terrorists,” he mentioned.

“If you happen to do not, should you do not give us no less than planes so we are able to defend ourselves, there’s just one factor to conclude; you need us to be killed very slowly.”
