IT employees’ union NITES (Nascent Data Expertise Workers Senate) has approached the Ministry of Labour and Employment towards the alleged “unethical switch practices” of Tata Consultancy Providers (TCS).
An e mail to TCS in search of feedback on the difficulty didn’t elicit a response.
NITES has issued an announcement saying it acquired greater than 180 complaints that TCS has allegedly been “systematically forcing” greater than 2,000 workers to switch to completely different cities with out correct discover or session, inflicting immense hardship to them and their households.
Pune-based NITES claimed that the corporate has cautioned the workers that failure to adjust to the switch instructions will lead to disciplinary actions.
“We’re deeply involved concerning the unethical switch practices of Tata Consultancy Providers… We have now urged the Ministry of Labour and Employment to analyze TCS’ actions and take applicable measures to guard IT employees from such unethical practices,” NITES President Harpreet Singh Saluja stated.

It urged the Ministry of Labour and Employment to probe the corporate’s switch practices to find out if they’re in violation of labour legal guidelines, and in that case “take applicable motion” towards the corporate.
“We urge the Ministry of Labour and Employment to take quick motion to analyze TCS’ switch practices and take applicable motion towards the corporate. We additionally request the ministry to formulate new insurance policies and rules to guard IT employees from unethical switch practices,” NITES stated in its letter to Labour and Employment Minister Bhupender Yadav.
NITES stated it would proceed to struggle for the rights of IT employees and be sure that they aren’t subjected to unethical practices comparable to compelled transfers.
