UP businessman’s grandchild rescued in Gonda, kidnappers held after encounter


A joint group of Uttar Pradesh Police and the Special Task Force (STF) has rescued the eight-year-old grandson of an Uttar Pradesh guthka dealer. The youngster was kidnapped from Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda district on Friday, and was rescued after a joint operation of the Special Task Force (STF) and the Uttar Pradesh Police within the wee hours of Saturday.

All the accused within the Gonda kidnapping case have been arrested following an encounter on Saturday morning, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Awasthi mentioned. The police have additionally seized three weapons and the automotive used for kidnapping.
