Former US President Barack Obama, in his memoir “A Promised Land,” paid tribute to Manmohan Singh’s distinctive management, describing him as a “man with unusual knowledge”. Mr Obama praised Manmohan Singh’s dedication to financial reform, his dedication to the well-being of the Indian individuals, and his unwavering integrity.
Mr Obama wrote that Manmohan Singh, an eminent economist, had managed to carry thousands and thousands of individuals from poverty and that the markings of his Sikh religion made him look “holy” within the eyes of the West.
