US Hopes For “Peaceful Resolution” Amid India-China Border Clashes

The United States voiced hope that India and China will peacefully resolve variations after at the least 20 Indian troopers died within the Asian powers’ deadliest conflict in a long time.

“Both India and China have expressed a desire to de-escalate, and we support a peaceful resolution of the current situation,” a State Department spokesperson mentioned.

The spokesperson mentioned the United States was “closely monitoring” the state of affairs and, referring to India’s announcement of casualties, mentioned: “We offer our condolences to their families.”
