US President Joe Biden signs legislation to tighten US restrictions on Huawei, ZTE


Washington: US President Joe Biden on Thursday signed laws to stop firms like Huawei Applied sciences Co or ZTE Corp which are deemed safety threats from receiving new tools licenses from US regulators.

The Safe Gear Act, the newest effort by the US authorities to crack down on Chinese language telecom and tech firms, was authorized unanimously by the US Senate on October 28 and earlier within the month by the US Home on a 420-4 vote.
