VIDEO: Congress Unveils First List of Candidates, Fields Sandeep Dikshit Against Kejriwal

The Congress celebration has formally launched its first checklist of candidates for the upcoming Delhi Meeting elections, for which dates are but to be introduced. Among the many key names is former MP Sandeep Dikshit, who will contest from the New Delhi constituency, a seat as soon as held by his late mom and former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. This improvement marks a big transfer as Sandeep Dikshit steps right into a politically symbolic contest, aiming to reclaim a constituency that has been dominated by the Aam Aadmi Celebration (AAP) since 2013. AAP’s nationwide convener and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has held the New Delhi seat for over a decade, having defeated Sheila Dikshit within the 2013 elections in a historic political battle. The announcement units the stage for a high-stakes contest in New Delhi, reflecting Congress’s try and regain its footing within the capital’s political panorama whereas taking over AAP and different main contenders.
