After President Droupadi Murmu ’s tackle to Parliament, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi ’s remarks have sparked a significant controversy. Gandhi referred to President Murmu as a “poor girl” following her joint tackle on the primary day of the Budget Session. Chatting with the media, Sonia Gandhi stated, “The President was getting very drained by the top. She may hardly communicate… poor girl.” She additionally claimed that the President’s speech was stuffed with “false guarantees.” Including to the controversy, her son and Chief of Opposition Rahul Gandhi dismissed the President’s speech as “boring” and “repeating the identical issues repeatedly.” The remarks have drawn sharp criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Celebration, which has accused the Congress management of “insulting the President.”
