In a stunning incident of extreme power utilized by the police in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur Dehat, a number of policemen have been caught on digital camera on Thursday, raining blows on a person carrying a small youngster. In an almost one-minute-long clip, the police are seen making an attempt to yank the kid out his arms after which thrashing him with sticks because the youngster wails.
“Bachhe ko lag jayegi (The kid will get damage),” the person is heard saying as he tries to run away from the police. They chase him and some officers attempt to forcefully pull the kid away from him. The person is heard insisting it was his youngster. “Iska maa bhi nahi hain (The kid does not have a mom),” he’s heard saying.
The person is an worker of the district hospital in Kanpur Dehat’s Akbarpur and his brother is a “common nuisance maker”, the police stated.
“A couple of folks have been spreading lawlessness within the space, shutting down the Out Sufferers’ Division (OPD) of the hospital and scaring the sufferers away,” Kanpur Dehat’s Further Superintendent of Police Ghanshyam Chaurasia stated.
Arun Kumar Singh, a senior police official of Kanpur Dehat, agreed that extreme power was used. He, nonetheless, added that the person was “making an attempt to cease the development work on the hospital. When the police tried to intervene and cease him, he bit a police inspector’s hand”.

His senior, Mr Chaurasia, nonetheless, maintained, “We used gentle power to cease them.”
