LJP president Chirag Paswan mentioned on Saturday that it was the BJP’s prerogative to announce a candidate for the Bihar Rajya Sabha election.
The seat had fallen vacant following the dying of Chirag Paswan’s father and Lok Janshakti Get together founder, Ram Vilas Paswan. The BJP has nominated former Bihar deputy chief minister, Sushil Kumar Modi, for the seat.
Sushil Modi is more likely to win uncontested except the opposition Grand Alliance fields a candidate to problem him. In that occasion, the polling will happen on December 14.
