The Supreme Court docket stated it’s going to pronounce its order tomorrow on a batch of petitions looking for initiation of legal contempt proceedings towards humorist Kunal Kamra for his alleged scandalous tweets towards the Supreme Court docket.

The pleas got here up for listening to earlier than a bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan which heard the submissions of advocate Nishant R Katneshwarkar, who appeared for one of many petitioners and claimed that Kunal Kamra had posted a number of tweets scandalous to the judiciary.

“All these tweets are scandalous and we had sought consent from the Lawyer Basic,” Mr Katneshwarkar informed the bench, which additionally comprised justices RS Reddy and MR Shah.

He learn out the letter of Lawyer Basic KK Venugopal, who had granted consent for initiation of legal contempt proceedings towards Kunal Kamra.

The bench requested the lawyer to not learn the alleged contemptuous tweets of the comic within the open court docket, saying they’ve already gone via Mr Venugopal’s letter on the difficulty.
