A girl journalist from Delhi was allegedly molested and threatened by two station masters at Rewari railway station in Haryana, police stated on Wednesday.
The girl, in her criticism, stated she was ready for the arrival of a prepare within the ready room on the station on Monday night. When she went to the bathroom within the ready room, she discovered that its door was locked. She then went to the station grasp’s workplace to ask for the important thing.
The journalist claimed that station masters Vinay Sharma and Ramotar not solely refused to offer her the important thing of the bathroom, but in addition molested her. She stated the station masters informed her that ladies passengers made the bathrooms soiled so these have been saved locked.
“An FIR has been registered in opposition to two station masters below IPC sections 354 (Assault or prison power to girl with intent to outrage her modesty), 506 (prison intimidation) and 509 (Phrase, gesture or act meant to insult the modesty of a lady) at Authorities Railway Police’s (GRP) Rewari police station,” a GRP official stated.
Bhupendra Singh, SHO, GRP Police Station Rewari stated the matter is being investigated.
