Jealous that her sister was getting extra love, a 41-year-old lady allegedly stabbed their aged mom to demise, walked right into a police station right here and confessed, officers mentioned on Friday.
Sabira Banu Shaikh (71) was killed Thursday night in Qureshi Nagar of Kurla East after a heated argument together with her daughter Reshma Muffar Qazi, police mentioned.
Qazi allegedly stabbed her mom with a pointy weapon a number of instances within the abdomen, chest, neck and different physique components, an official mentioned.
He mentioned Qazi was apparently jealous together with her elder sister pondering their mom liked her extra.
After stabbing the 71-year-old, the accused walked into the Chunabhatti police station and confessed to the crime, he mentioned.
A police staff then visited the place of incident and took Qazi into custody, police mentioned.
