New Delhi:
A 79-year-old retired authorities official and his spouse had been run over by a automotive at Dwarka in western Delhi, police mentioned on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at Sector 11 on Sunday night and CCTV footage of it went viral on social media.
Deepakshi Choudhary, a resident of Appu Enclave of the sector, claimed that she was desirous about one thing when the incident occurred, an officer mentioned, including that it was but to be ascertained whether or not she was on a telephone name.
“She mowed down Anjana Arora, 62, and Shanti Swaroop Arora, 79, each residents of Appu Enclave,” Dwarka Deputy Commissioner of Police Santosh Kumar Meena mentioned.

A case below sections and 304A (inflicting demise by negligence) and 279 (rash driving) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered. The lady was arrested and later launched on bail, an officer mentioned.
Deepakshi Choudhary, who works at a multi-national firm, was not inebriated on the time of the incident, police mentioned.
Shanti Swaroop Arora was a retired authorities official, whereas Anjana Arora was a homemaker. Their son is settled overseas and has reached Delhi, police mentioned.
