Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Saturday lashed out at his Haryana counterpart Manohar Lal Khattar for the crackdown on farmers protesting the centre’s new agricultural legal guidelines, saying that he won’t even reply the latter’s telephone calls now due to the way in which he has acted.
“He does not know what to say, so, he’s saying all this. Punjab just isn’t stopping its farmers as a result of it’s their proper to protest. Why are you stopping them? The Chief Minister was responding to Mr Khattar’s accusations that Captain Singh was answerable for the 1000’s of offended farmers marching to Delhi and a few throwing stones and overturning barricades in response to a heavy-handed police crackdown in Haryana.
