Yulu has joined arms with meals supply platform Zomato

Electrical bike-sharing startup Yulu has joined arms with meals supply platform Zomato for offering 25,000-35,000 models of its purpose-built e-scooter DeX to the latter’s supply companions for last-mile supply on custom-made rental plans, an announcement stated on Monday.
As soon as deployed, these e-scooters have the potential of serving three-lakh inexperienced deliveries every single day by 2026, Yulu stated in an announcement.
In accordance with the corporate, rising gasoline costs and monetary challenges are important limitations for youth who need to onboard themselves as supply companions. Yulu stated it gives versatile rental packs and permits supply companions to earn increased earnings in comparison with ICE-powered automobiles.
“With Yulu’s deep understanding of the supply ecosystem, purpose-built product DeX, sturdy operations and a large community of battery swapping stations, our options can enhance earnings of supply companions by as much as 40 per cent,” stated Pradeep Puranam, head of income and operations at Yulu.
Yulu stated over 4,000 supply companions as of February 2023, onboarded on Zomato’s platform organically utilise Yulu’s EVs to make the last-mile deliveries.
“As a part of The Local weather Group’s EV100 initiative, now we have dedicated to transitioning our supply fleet to 100 per cent electrical, and with Yulu’s assist, we’re glad to be on the appropriate path to attain this goal,” stated Mohit Sardana, COO, Meals Supply at Zomato.
