A Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist was amongst three terrorists killed in two separate encounters with safety forces in Pulwama and Baramulla districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, police mentioned.
Safety forces launched a cordon and search operation in Tulibal village in Baramulla’s Sopore space following details about the presence of terrorists there, a police spokesperson mentioned.
He mentioned the search operation changed into an encounter after the terrorists opened fireplace on the safety forces, who retaliated.
An unidentified terrorist was killed within the encounter, which was underway when stories final got here in, he added.
Two terrorists had been killed in one other encounter that broke out in Tujjan in south Kashmir’s Pulwama, the spokesperson mentioned.
Inspector Basic of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar mentioned one of many killed terrorists has been recognized as Majid Nazir of Jaish-e-Mohammad.
He mentioned Nazir was concerned within the killing of Sub-Inspector Farooq Ahmad Mir just a few days in the past.
