Mrs. Anjali Sinha has set an example for all women that there is no age limit to fulfill your dreams. A so called child born with silver spoon, she felt the need for women empowerment for self and women around her. When she became women, it was devastating for her. To cope up with sudden change in living standard, language problem with localities, having migrated to Odisha from Bihar after marriage at the age of 20. For her all the problem she had were just a challenge which she handled with patience and confidence. But as if god was testing her patience and confidence too. It was really tough for her to meet her ends managing with joint family in in- law’s house, she had to shoulder additional burden of her seven brothers & sister due to sudden demise of both of her parents. The financial burden mounted high even to the extent to put her children in government school with free education, which she opposed vehemently and came out for self- employment only to support her children for best education in English Medium School. She moved around, door to door in the locality, did survey of unemployed ladies & younger boys. Found some were trained in one or more aspects and seeking opportunity to in cash their talent and some were seeking self-employment training.

So, clubbing both, she started a training center and named it Build-Aid-India, in a small leased complex. Initially it was started with cooking classes and later expanded to music, dance and language classes. Her office complex was at out skirt and she had to wait for bus wasting much of her precious time. So she bought a moped (2-wheeler) through even didn’t know cycling, learned it and found riding it with her three kids with in few days. After sending her husband to office and children to school she was going to her Institute and again coming back before children comes back from school and after feeding them she goes institute along with them and coming back in the evening before husband comes back from office. With her dedication and hard work, the institute got very popular within a short span and some intellectuals got associated in her mission and she got her institute registered and renamed it “Indian Institute of Self Employment Training” A self-managed N.G.O without any financial support from any outside agency. Many got self-employment training from her and started their own venture, but she remained like a mile stone, silently working for the society. Having come to know about this lady, the then President of Deepika Mahila Sangathi (N.G.O associated with Rourkela Steel Plant, Odisha) called upon this lady and got her joined in her Mahila Sangathi.

The sound financial condition of this society gave her the opportunity to express her thoughts by helping the needy persons and soon she became the affectionate lady of Governing Body of Society. She was gradually given higher responsibilities by society Presidents who so ever came and she rose up to the level of In-charge of Medical Team. She after rendering her twenty five years of dedicated voluntary service got retired from Sangathi after her husband retirement from Plant. The village and the poor peasants for whom she was working as Medical Head still wants her to help them as in her absence the Sangathi has stopped facilitating Medical Services to villagers. She has not kept anything for her old age, but still she has managed and she will manage because she is simply unstoppable. After retirement of her husband she came to Mumbai to live with her children. She is the pride of Maharastra, being a resident of Mumbai, as well as Odisha, as her Karma Bhumi and also Bihar as Janma Bhumi.
