NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Kirkland’s Inc. has reshuffled its board of administrators, re-electing Ann Joyce and appointing her as chair, whereas accepting the resignations of two board members who did not obtain majority votes throughout the firm’s annual assembly June 26.
Joyce, who has a background in retail with vogue manufacturers Chico’s and Areopostale, will oversee the board, which has been decreased to 6 members from eight. Becoming a member of the board for the specialty dwelling décor and furnishings retailer is Amy Sullivan, president and CEO of the corporate.
“Ann is a revered retail trade government who has labored carefully with the administration group as we’ve got developed and executed our technique to usher in a brand new chapter for Kirkland’s,” stated Sullivan.
Exiting the board are R. Wilson Orr III, former chairman of the board, and Steven J. Collins, neither of whom obtained a majority of the votes forged by shareholders. Each provided resignations, which have been accepted by the board.
Different actions taken on the annual assembly included amending the corporate’s fairness incentive plan, ratification of the appointment of impartial auditors and an advisory vote to approve government compensation.
