In a horrifying incident, a pregnant girl in Punjab was set on fireplace allegedly by her husband after an argument on Friday.
The 23-year-old girl, who was six months pregnant, died on the spot, the police mentioned.
Police mentioned the couple had a heated argument on Friday after which the person tied Pinky – who was anticipating twins – to a mattress and set her on fireplace in a match of rage.
The incident was reported on Friday from Bullenangal village close to Amritsar.
“Sukhdev and Pinky had a strained relationship and would quarrel over numerous points. On Friday too, they’d a heated argument after which Sukhdev killed Pinky and fled,” officers mentioned.

Sukhdev, who was on the run after the incident, was arrested by police late final night. “A case has been registered and investigation is on,” officers mentioned.
