Apple plans to settle a lawsuit that accused tech startup Rivos of stealing its commerce secrets and techniques associated to computer-chip expertise, in line with a joint courtroom submitting on Friday in California federal courtroom.
The businesses informed the US District Court docket for the Northern District of California that that they had “signed an settlement that probably settles the case,” and that the settlement permits Apple to look at Rivos’ techniques and get better any confidential data.

Apple sued “stealth” startup Rivos in 2022. It mentioned Mountain View, California-based Rivos had employed away dozens of its engineers and used its confidential data to develop competing “system-on-chip” (SoC) expertise.
