“I am honoured to be requested by the V&A to share my life in garments with the world,” Campbell, 53, stated in a press release.
Sonnet Stanfill, a vogue curator on the museum, known as Campbell “probably the most prolific and influential figures in modern tradition.”
The exhibition will embrace some 100 seems to be and equipment from the largest names in vogue, from Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana to Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen and plenty of others.

The London-born Campbell attended stage faculty from a younger age and began her profession at eight, when she started performing in music movies for Bob Marley and Tradition Membership. The aspiring dancer was approached by a mannequin agent when she was 15, and inside two years she was strutting down catwalks in Paris and Milan. She was the primary Black mannequin to look on the duvet of Vogue France in 1988.
